 andersville Builders Supply was
founded in 1880 as Lang's Variety Works. This company originally built and repaired cotton
gins and steam engines. Eventually Lang began to sell building materials throughout
Georgia. In 1953, the Lang family sold the business. The company changed ownership several
more times before the Croome family purchased the business in 1989.
SBS has always been a leader in the building materials industry in middle Georgia. We
were one of the first building supply stores to offer delivery and credit programs to
customers. We were also one of the first to computerize our business in the 70s and the
first to offer Computer color match Glidden paint in the early 90s. We have offered an
on-staff interior designer with flooring products in stock for more than 25 years.
Service. We believe our customers are the reason we have been in business for over 120
years. It is our intention to exceed the customer's expected level of satisfaction in
dealing with SBS. We  offer a
complete line of building materials, forklift truck delivery, installed services, special
order capability and a whole lot more. Our knowledgeable sales staff prides itself on
